Bush Plum & Waterhole Gold

June Bird was born circa 1955 at Mulga Bore in Utopia. An important part women play in traditional Aboriginal culture is gathering bush foods like beans, tomatoes, cherries etc. in wooden bowls called coolamon. Yams are also collected by digging into the soil with digging sticks.
June drew skillfully the fallen bush plums on the ground, with walking paths all around. They eat the plums and also make dough with it for tasty breads.
