Bush Tucker Blue
Bush Tucker design showing witchety grubs, goannas, bush fruit, honey ants.
145 cm (57 inches) wide
We could jokingly refer to this painting as an Aboriginal Cook Book. In the centre are three people sitting at their campfire. They have digging sticks and coolamons at their side showing that they are females. They are probably talking of the various foods available in the surrounding lands.
The honey ants, small lizards, snakes and witchety grubs are all shown, along with some bush fruit. The footprints wandering through the painting show the women as gatherers of these foods.
